Loughborough University is one of the country's leading universities, consistently ranked in the Top 20, with many subjects being ranked in the Top 10. We are highly regarded and proud of our many achievements.
The Guardian University Guide 2014 ranked Loughborough an impressive 14th out of 119 institutions.
In the Complete University Guide 2014 Loughborough University is again well placed, at 14th in the league table.
In the same guide, Loughborough has been rated as one of the Top 10 universities nationally in 10 of the 29 subject areas offered, and was ranked first for Building.

Best Student Experience
Loughborough is the only university to have been voted England's Best Student Experience for six consecutive years in the Times Higher Education league table.
It highlights the excellent community atmosphere at Loughborough, the extra-curricular activities and societies that are offered, and the great environment on campus and around the University, including the first-rate sports facilities.
Loughborough has also been recognised in the Times Higher Awards over the years for our commitment to supporting students from abroad.
University of the Year
Loughborough University is consistently well placed in the Sunday Times University Guide and won the coveted University of the Year title in 2008.
Queen’s Anniversary Prize
Loughborough has been outstandingly successful in receiving a total of six prestigious Queen’s Anniversary Prizes for Higher and Further Education.
They are awarded biennially, in recognition of work carried out by universities and colleges which is judged to be of outstanding excellence.
National Student Survey
Students at Loughborough University consistently rank it among the UK’s top institutions for student satisfaction in the National Student Survey.
The most recent poll showed 89% of Loughborough’s undergraduate students are satisfied with their courses, compared with a national average of 85%.
