Design Show Liverpool Student Design Award
Jonathan Fenton was the winner of the Student Design Award at the Design Show Liverpool design festival in June 2008. This was for his BioPod concept product. Jonathan was awarded a £500 cash prize and the chance to have his concept made into a real product by the competition's sponsors DuPont Corian. He was awarded the prize by the designer Wayne Hemingway.

Envirowise prize
Amundeep Hothi was awarded the winning prize and trophy from Envirowise, for his proposal to reduce the environmental impact of paint packaging. Amundeep designed a new paint container for ICI paints.

Andrew Trainer (2007 graduate) won the Transport for London and Mothercare Urban Transport Design Award for his baby carrying system. He was awarded £1000 and a placement with Mothercare.

PTC Worldwide Student Design Challenge
Chris Nobles (2007 graduate) won the European section (19 and older) of the PTC Worldwide Student Design Challenge. This was for his re-design, CAD modelling (using Pro/ENGINEER) and presentation of a shaver for rapid manufacturing.
