Department of Chemistry

The National Student Survey, which was established by the Government to indicate student satisfaction with their course, has now been running since 2005. The Department was ranked in first place in the 2005 and 2006 Surveys and in second and third places in the 2007 and 2009 Surveys.

The results in the various recent Chemistry League Tables such as the Complete University Guide (Independent),  the Guardian University Guide and the Times Good University Guide have been equally impressive.

The Head of Department comments that “these excellent results demonstrate that the Department of Chemistry at Loughborough is a special place and the high level of student satisfaction is a result of the enthusiasm, skill and dedication of the staff. The Department offers an opportunity to research, study and learn in an environment which is friendly and stimulating”.
