Loughborough is the largest single-site campus in the U.K. It lies within walking distance of the town itself and is easily accessible by rail. It is close to Junction 23 of the M1 and to East Midlands International Airport.

The University and facilities
Loughborough University was granted university status in 1966, but its history dates back to 1909 when Loughborough College was founded. The extensive campus brings together students from many different backgrounds with various subject interest, and provides the perfect environment for both academic and social pursuits. The University's Students' Union is the largest music and dance venue in Leicestershire. The Arts Centre is our forum for concerts, from opera to rock, as well as theatre and drama productions.
