An attractive campus environment
Loughborough is the largest single-site campus in the U.K. It lies within walking distance of the town itself and is easily accessible by rail. It is close to Junction 23 of the M1 and to East Midlands International Airport.

Independent surveys continue to show that industry has the highest regard for our graduates. The University is renowned for its continued technological innovation, recently winning a fifth Queen's Anniversary Prize. One of these Awards went to the School's Water, Engineering and Development Centre which specialises in work in developing countries.

The University and facilities
Loughborough University was granted university status in 1966, but its history dates back to 1909 when Loughborough College was founded. The extensive campus brings together students from many different backgrounds with various subject interest, and provides the perfect environment for both academic and social pursuits. The University has excellent library and computing facilities that provide effective support for quality postgraduate training.

Sports for all
The University is renowned for its international sporting successes, and there are fine sports facilities available for all students. These include swimming pools, tennis and squash courts, many sports pitches, all-weather play areas, four indoor sports halls and an athletics stadium. Arts and entertainments
The University's Students' Union is the largest music and dance venue in Leicestershire. The Arts Centre is our forum for concerts, from opera to rock, as well as theatre and drama productions.
